ABOUT DR. KRUSE
I was born with clubbed feet and had to undergo numerous surgeries as a child so I could walk normally.
Because I spent so much time surrounded by healthcare providers, I had a unique window into podiatric medicine from a young age. Those experiences sparked my interest in medicine, and I knew I wanted a fulfilling career. Now, I love my work. My side of medicine is just as fulfilling as I had hoped, and I can’t imagine doing anything else.
After earning my Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree in 2001, I began a very competitive three-year surgical residency. My life came full-circle during my training, as I was able to consult with nervous parents who were worried about the surgeries their children needed. Easing their fears and assuring them that their children could lead full lives after surgery for clubbed feet, just as I did, was an incredible experience for me.
Today, I provide a one-on-one, open, and communicative experience for every patient at my practice. I want to ensure that my patients are comfortable enough to come to me with everything. I put an emphasis on education and take the time to explain everything involved in their treatment so they’ll have the tools and knowledge to take charge of their own health moving forward and understand the root of their pain.
I have been a podiatrist for more than a decade and love living and working in Chicago. In 2015, Opencare voted me one of the best podiatrists in Chicago based on reviews in the community, and I am very proud of that distinction.
I am naturally warm and personable, and I believe in efficient appointments with no wait time. As the owner of my practice, I’m thrilled to have full autonomy when it comes to how my patients are cared for.
My first-hand experiences with foot and ankle conditions drive me to go the extra mile, while offering premium podiatric care.
When not in the office, Dr. Kruse frequents the theater and enjoys going to movies and seeing friends. As a part of his commitment to health, he hits the gym often and takes spin classes. Summer in Chicago is his favorite time of year; he loves art, the live music scene, and the plentiful street festivals.
